I have been busy over the last couple of weeks writing prayer diaries, and then travelling to Liverpool to meet and chat with the Boiler Room teams from there and the lovely Shetland Islands.
Aside from fiendish travelling, I have also been enjoying settling into my new room (it's very pink, and consequently lovely), my curtains are held up by drawing pins, which is a bit of a drawback, but that is only a minor problem!
On Saturday Hattie and I did another car boot sale. Last time we were stood next to this really shouty/sweary man, which was a little uncomfortable. This time was much quieter, in terms of pitch neighbours, as well as general custom. It was a good morning though, and we enjoyed offloading excess junk.
On Saturday afternoon I went to see Harry Potter at the cinema. It was amazing, and made me think, laugh and cry. I went on my own, so no-one saw me sobbing as Sirius die, but I loved the film. Afterwards I went and sat in the park for a bit and did some writing, because it was a lovely summers evening.
Sunday was jam-packed. We talked about evangelism in Youth, and then one of the youth group decided they wanted to become a Christian, so it was great to pray that through with him. I was buzzing, and it was such a lovely story - now him, his brothers and his dad have all made commitments - great.
Yesterday was blurry, because I was really tired, but good anyway. I went to the City Boiler Room in the morning, had a great meeting and chats with the guys there. I'm really enjoying working alongside them and getting to know the team better. I then dashed accross the city in a taxi, and lugged boxes of books into my office... In the evening I ate with Alan and Jo, then we watched a tv documentary about the construction of the QM2. It was really interesting! And lovely to chill and share with people.
Today I have been creating publicity for a prayer event we're organising next year, as well as consolidating my three (!) to-do lists into one. Unfortunately it now covers a whole a4 sheet, but at least it is all in one place.
We are prayer walking tonight, tomorrow we're prepping the youth for Sunday's trip to Liverpool, Thursday I'm meeting some friends, and then Friday night I'm off to Canterbury to celebrate the arrival of Harry Potter 7!
A pink bedroom and a lovely bedroom are surely two completely incompatible things? But then, I'm male, so I probably don't count.

Pinkness is next to Godliness I am told.
